Like to know who is buying abstract art today?

An abstract landscape painting with bright pinks and blues

When the rich and famous invest, they use teams of advisors to ensure
they get the best value for money. Abstract paintings can both confront and amaze.
Some are worth collecting, some not. The most important factors are to enjoy the
journey of finding, buying, and discussing creativity with friends.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have an incredible collection including

Jean-Michel Basquiat.

David and Victoria Beckham have spent big bucks on their “Love-themed” collection including Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst.

Eric Clapton bought three Gerhard Richter paintings for $3.4m in 2001 and sold all three eventually for a profit of $74.1m. Wow!

An excellent book to read is "Abstract Art" by Dietmar Elger. Dietmar's book explains the history of abstract art and examines the work of some of the best artists in the world. Some specialise in abstract landscape paintings while others concentrate on figurative work.

Think Picasso, Klee, Kline, Rothko, and Pollock. Abstraction shook Western art to the core. Dietmar condenses who, what, when, and where, in the world of abstract art concisely and expertly.

Buying abstract paintings for the first time?

If so, here are three easy steps you can take to make sure your

art collection has every chance of growing in value over time.

1. Make sure the artist is experienced, has a good professional track record and makes well-planned expertly executed artwork.

2. Ensure professional art materials are used and the artist has proven processes in place in case you’re unhappy with any aspect of the purchase.

3.  Buy because you love the artist’s work and want the pleasure of

looking at it every day.

Finally, I’m happy to see you here and hope you see work from my abstract landscape paintings in the "Soul Essence Collection" that you really love.

My work is drawn from both my love of landscape and my own intuition. Insight is gleaned through constant exploration of my surroundings, human nature, and the medium I am using at the time. Each abstract landscape painting comes with an explanation of

how and why it was created.
